| The name is Derek Blake Chestnut. I'm at the accomplished age of 19years old, and I currently live at home. I reside in the great little town of Union City. I ran cross country during my high school years. I attended UCASD(Union City Area School Districts) where I graduated in year 2008. The love and passion for the run has stayed with me long since graduating. I still embark on the occasional journey to this very day. Hitting the streets with nothing more than the clothes on my back and my MP3 player is one of the greatest experiences I have ever known!! I do it to keep in shape, and clear my head when life gets rough. I have some buddies that stand beside me (not behind me) through the thick and the rough, and that helps me keep my head up. I'm more competitive at times than I like to think I should be, but it keeps me on my toes and constantly motivates me. Witnessing my friend's accomplishments only drives my ambition further. I worked for Troyer Potato Products, Inc. for nearly a year (11months) before voluntarily terminating my employment with the company (a mistake I regret to this day). See, I had dreams of becoming a Merchant Marine for the Seafarer's International Union, and I was 90%certain that my dreams were on route, which is why I quit my job. I guess the powers that be, sought things differently. Events that I were certain were going to benefit my dream failed to take place, and now needless to say; I haven't been able to join the union as scheduled. On a much more recent note, I have been chosen to be a part of the staff at Walmart in Edinboro, PA!! YAY!! I really just enjoy hanging around the house and playing video games with my friends, or perhaps watching movies with them instead. Relaxation is bliss my friends. Have no fears though. Just because I enjoy the casual life, doesn't mean that I'm a couch potato. I enjoy playing football, soccer, and basketball. I do the occasional yard activity(badminton, croquet, etc...) My dream to be a successful Merchant Mariner still exists inside me, and I know that one day I will reach my goals. On a more personal note, Sarah Kathleen Winner has my heart. She's been a faithful partner for 11months come September 19th, 2009. Our one year anniversary comes around on the 19th of October, and I'm really looking forward to it. We may not get the opportunity to see one another as often as we'd like, but that only intensifies the passion and love we share for one another. She's my everything, and she will always remain my everything. |
